Case study · Desktop app

TeleBrain: group chats, turned into a living knowledge base.

A desktop app for macOS and Windows that reads Telegram groups and channels and turns thousands of messages into searchable, interlinked wiki pages, with every claim traced back to its source.

Overview

Knowledge that scrolls away.

Research groups, product teams and community watch groups do some of their best thinking in group chats. A paper gets shared, someone finds the key table, someone else spots the contradiction with last month's study. Then the conversation moves on, and the insight is buried under a thousand newer messages.

Search finds messages, not answers. TeleBrain was designed to do what a diligent member of the group would do: read everything, notice the recurring topics, write each one up, and cite the messages it came from.

The product

Import. Build. Explore.

The whole product follows three steps, and the interface is organized around them so a new user always knows where they are.

01 · Import

Connect a chat

Connect any Telegram group, channel or private chat and pull in its full history. Auto-sync keeps it current as new messages arrive.

02 · Build

Discover topics

TeleBrain finds the subjects a group keeps returning to and writes each one up as a one-page summary, with every claim linked to the message that backs it up.

03 · Explore

Ask anything

Ask questions in plain language across the whole chat history. Every answer comes with citations you can open and check for yourself.

Key decisions

The choices that shaped it.

Citations everywhere

An AI summary of a conversation is only useful if you can trust it. Every claim on a wiki page and every sentence in an answer links back to the original message, so the reader can always check the source.

Local by default

TeleBrain runs on the user's computer, and chat history stays there. The app talks only to Telegram, the same way the Telegram app does, and to the AI provider the user chooses.

Built for mixed languages

Real group chats switch languages mid-thread. The original text is always kept as written, with translation working underneath so search and answers work across every language a group uses.

Every plan is the full product

Plans differ only in how much you can build and ask each month, never in which features you get. A free trial works on one chat without a card, and people with their own OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter key can buy a one-time lifetime license instead of subscribing.
