Overview

Buying a thobe online is hard.

The brand starts from three problems with buying modest wear online: clothes that look good in photos and disappoint on arrival, sizing that's hard to get right without trying something on, and premium-looking brands that charge for the name.

The store answers each one in its design. The product is shown plainly, fit is explained before it's chosen, and the "Why Al Qamar?" section on the home page sets each problem beside the brand's answer to it.

Brand and storefront

A quiet presence.

Al Qamar means "the moon", and the brand describes itself the same way: present, composed, never loud. The store follows suit, with a monochrome palette, generous white space and a thin, elegant wordmark, so the fabric and the silhouette do the talking.

The signature Premium Emirati Thobe is presented in nine considered colors and two fits, each color with its own product page. The collection page opens with a short note about the fabric and a link to the guide on choosing the right thobe, for anyone who's new to the brand.

Content

Everything worth knowing before you buy.

The guides library turns the store into a reference: a complete guide to the Emirati thobe, how to choose the right one, a size and fit guide that explains slim and regular, a fabric guide, care instructions, styling notes for Eid, Jummah and everyday wear, and a guide to the regional names: thobe, kandura and dishdasha.

Good guides answer the questions that otherwise become returns.
